Summary
A unified learning platform for AWS's global field organization, supporting training for thousands of learners across regions, roles, and levels of seniority. As sole designer, I partnered with a senior UX researcher and PM to bring structure to a broad, content-rich learning ecosystem, work that started as an exploratory bet and ended up reshaping how the organization thinks about learning at scale.
The real question wasn't what to build. It was what a learner needed to know before anything else made sense: where they stood, and what came next. That reframe became the spine of everything that followed — designed within the real constraints of AWS's existing system, where clarity had to come from structure and logic, not visual polish.
The work was presented at VP level and elevated from exploratory design into a strategic priority, handed over to a dedicated product team who carried the thinking forward without needing to revisit the discovery or reasoning behind it. The platform's first phase shipped in 2025.
